DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Interstate 380 was completed and opened to traffic on September 13, 1985. Its description in Black Hawk County should be included in the Primary Road System to reflect this opening.

Interstate 380 begins at the Black Hawk‑Buchanan County Line approximately 8 ½ miles south of Jesup and travels northwesterly via Evansdale to an intersection with Mitchell Avenue in Waterloo.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve adding the description of Interstate 380 in Black Hawk County to the Primary Road System.

New Description ‑ Interstate 380 in Black Hawk County described as follows:

Beginning at the Black Hawk‑Buchanan County Line on the east line of Section 13‑T87N‑R11W, Black Hawk County (west line of Section 18‑T87N‑R10W, Buchanan County); thence northwesterly and westerly through Sections 13, 12, 11, 2, 3 and 4‑T87N‑R11W and Sections 33, 32, 29, 30 and 19‑T88N‑R11W and Sections 24, 13, 12, 11 and 10‑T88N‑R12W to the west corporation line of Evansdale connecting with an unnamed street (near the W ¼ Corner of said Section 10).

Evansdale:

Beginning again at the west corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence westerly on said unnamed street to the east corporation line/west corporation line of Waterloo connecting with an unnamed street (approximately 2533 feet west and 395 feet south of the NE Corner Section 12-T88N-R13W).

Waterloo:

Beginning again at the west corporation line/east corporation line of Evansdale connecting with an unnamed; thence westerly and northwesterly on said unnamed street to Mitchell Avenue.
